JAGUAR XJ

A very special example of the X308 Jaguar XJR V8 Supercharged finished in Metallic Sapphire Blue with Oatmeal Hide. The car was supplied new by Paramount Jaguar Swansea on the 18th March 1998 with several options specified - electric sunroof, cruise control, rear sunblind, metallic paint, 12 way electric memory seats, mud flaps, a Jaguar factory detachable towbar and full size spare wheel. The original owner must have truly cherished the car as they kept it for 15 years, finally parting with it in July 2013, by which point it had covered just 35,068 miles. The car was then sold to its second owner, who kept the vehicle a further 5 years when it was then sold again to its third and final owner, a good personal friend of ours whom we have just supplied with a Maserati 4200GT. The XJR only went due to a lack of garage space - but a car I was absolutely delighted to take in part exchange.

During the past couple of years the car has been maintained by respected Jaguar specialists Roach Classics - it was their view that this is the finest XJR they've seen. Recent work has included a replacement headlining (a common X308 malady), rear beam mounting bushes, a new interior mirror, and Waxoyling the underside as required at a cost of nearly £1,800 (Sep 17 @ 36,692 miles). It also wears a recent set of Michelin Pilot Sport 3's. The car has now covered just 39,136 miles from new and retains all factory literature and manuals as well as a box file of service invoices.

The X308 V8 XJR is one of my all time favourite cars and it is nice to be reacquainted with one again after a decade since the last one we supplied. I would surmise this is the finest XJR V8 currently on the market and a car that is continuing to get rarer by the day.
