A couple of our favourite motoring videos
Two more car vids that may interest those of you, who, if like us, see cars as more than just transport. The first one is a tribute video to one of motorsports most dangerous eras: Group B rallying. These 500bhp+ 4wd turbocharged rally cars were outlawed by the late 1980s as it had simply become too dangerous, the cars were so fast they had become almost undriveable. Second video is Ken Block, himself a world rally driver but also in possession of some of the most incredible driving skills in the world. You wont be shown how to do this by your driving instructor!

Mercedes SLK Magazine Feature
We grace the pages of Mercedes Enthusiast yet again this month (April 2010), our rather smart manual SLK320 being the subject of their ‘forecourt find’ feature. Get your hands on the keys whilst you still can!

Mercedes Enthusiast Magazine
We are not yet worthy of scrutiny from the likes of Jeremy Clarkson, so the respected scribes over at Mercedes Enthusiast magazine will have to suffice in the meantime. They came a few months back now to photograph our two classic 1970’s Mercedes S-class saloons (one of which is still available on our stocklist) for a 5 page feature in the January 2010 edition -we even made the cover – well the bottom corner anyway!

Website Traffic
In the last month (Dec 09-Jan 10) we have welcomed over 2,400 visitors to our website, the majority of these were from the UK (1576), but our clever website statistics show we have also had visits from Germany (60), Indonesia (17), Brazil (6), Iran (4), Iceland (1), Peru, Rwanda, Guatemala, Mongolia and Uganda (all 1) amongst many others. So there you have it, Mongol hordes we welcome you!

“The Preston” Rally 2009 5/6th December 2009

We recently took part for the second time running in the famous (In East Anglian motorsport circles anyway!) Preston road rally organised by Chelmsford Motor Club. A great event as always, and certainly not for the faint hearted – it is well known as a car breaker and one of the toughest road rallies in the UK. Our Sam Jordan Cars “works team” consisted of a trusty Volvo 440 and BMW Compact. Neither cars made the finish unfortunately with nearly half the crews retiring over terrain even 4×4s would find hard going. Needless to say, neither of the cars will be appearing on our stock list any time soon and will return to battle next year!
